Neary Bros Racing

What a season the Neary Bros Racing team had in '08! The change over from Kid Kart to our Shadow Dragon was very smooth for Sam, he was on his game right from the start running the Jr Sportsman 1 class. Only issue being leaning his body in the corners, a quick change of the seat cured that problem. Sam was well on his way to a track Championship if he could stay focused. Although not with out it ups and downs both Oakland Valley Race Park and Poughkeepsie Speedway would be awarding Sam Championship Trophies.

Scott also made a transition from open kart to our Trick Olympic Panoz Jr Champ easily to dominate almost every track we visited. Although the urge to race a kart without being strapped in would have us building our back-up chassis with Scott doing double duty in both Jr Sportsman Champ and Jr Sportsman 2. More than once all 3 karts would grace Victory Lane at OVRP on the same night. When the chance came up to get another Shadow Chassis for Scott to run in Jr 2 we jumped on it. Scott would also earn Championship Trophies at both Oakland Valley Race Park and Poughkeepsie Speedway in the Jr Sportsman Champ class. We visited 9 different tracks for a total of 62 feature wins between the 3 classes raced by Scott and Sam in '08 alone.

With guidance from Willie Osmund, 2 time Sportsman Champion at New Egypt Speedway this past year was the beginning of our own in house engine program. Looking ahead to '09 we will be traveling more to race the PDKS Series in Pa along with the local tracks, maybe even head South to try some tracks in Va and NC.
